Arrival in Hanoi: First Impressions of Vietnam’s Capital

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, you will be greeted by a Spanish-speaking guide. During the one-hour transfer to the city, you’ll get your first impressions of Hanoi. Enjoy some free time until your hotel check-in (usually available from 2:00 PM, though early check-in may be provided if available).

Explore Hanoi: A Journey Through Vietnam’s Capital
After breakfast, we begin our exploration of Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Known for its tree-lined avenues, French colonial architecture, serene lakes, and oriental temples, Hanoi is one of Asia’s most charming cities.

The tour starts with a visit to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university, founded in 1070 in honor of Confucius, and regarded as a symbol of Hanoi. Next, we’ll visit the Museum of Ethnology, where you’ll admire a diverse and exotic collection of Vietnamese culture.

Lunch: Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant.

After lunch, immerse yourself in the art of flower arranging, a traditional Vietnamese practice. We’ll visit an artisanal flower shop to see how bouquets are made and learn about the spiritual significance of this beautiful tradition, passed down through generations. Guests will have the chance to recognize exotic flowers and create a spiritual floral offering.

The tour continues with a visit to the exterior of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum at Ba Dinh Square. We’ll then proceed to the One Pillar Pagoda, constructed in 1049 by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, who reigned from 1028 to 1054. This pagoda, resembling a lotus flower in honor of Buddha, stands on a single stone pillar.

Our next stop is Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of Hanoi, where we’ll take a stroll around the lake, offering panoramic views of Ngoc Son Temple, located in the center of the lake, and the iconic red The Huc Bridge.

Finally, enjoy a panoramic ride in a cyclo pousse through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, also known as the 36 Streets Quarter, once famous for the artisans and workshops that filled the area.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Hanoi.

Discover the Majestic Halong Bay: A Journey Through Vietnam’s Natural Wonder
After breakfast, meet our guide in the hotel lobby and set out on a scenic drive to Halong Bay, which means “the dragon descending from the sea” in Vietnamese. According to legend, a dragon formed the islands in the bay. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a spectacular cruise to explore this natural wonder. Lunch will be served onboard.

Following lunch, we’ll continue our journey, sailing through the bay and discovering thousands of lush islands and islets of various shapes and sizes. The emerald waters of this legendary treasure lead us to explore remarkable islands like Turtle Island, Dog Island, and Man’s Head Island. Due to its unique beauty, geological significance, biological diversity, and cultural and historical importance, Halong Bay was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 and was named one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World in 2011.

Beyond admiring the magnificent landscape, you’ll have free time to enjoy optional activities such as swimming, kayaking, or participating in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the ship’s deck.

Dinner and Overnight: Aboard the Bhaya Classic Cruises

Sunrise Tai Chi and Journey from Halong Bay to Hoi An
At sunrise, those interested can participate in a Tai Chi class on the sun deck, a perfect way to connect with the serene beauty of Halong Bay. We’ll continue sailing through the bay’s nearly 2,000 limestone islands, taking in its unique landscapes. This is an ideal time to capture stunning photos of these natural wonders. Enjoy a hearty brunch onboard to recharge before we head back to shore.

After disembarking at the Halong pier, we’ll travel by road to Hanoi and then proceed to the airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, we’ll have a direct transfer to Hoi An (approx. 30 minutes) where you’ll check in and relax at the hotel.

Exploring Hoi An: A Journey Through Time
After breakfast, we’ll begin our exploration of Hoi An, a significant commercial port in Asia during the 17th and 18th centuries. The city’s well-preserved architecture and laid-back lifestyle have remained largely unchanged over the years. Our day starts with a boat ride along the Thu Bon River, passing by quaint villages that line its banks.

Upon arriving at the Ancient Town, we’ll embark on a walking tour through the historic center, visiting Phung Hung (the Old Merchant’s House), the over 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the ancient Tan Ky House with its traditional architecture, and the Sa Huynh History Museum.

Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to relax on the beach, stroll through the vibrant central market, or indulge in some shopping.

Discovering the Beauty of Central Vietnam

We begin with a transfer to Da Nang, where we’ll admire its stunning paradise beaches. Our visit continues to the Linh Ung Pagoda, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the charming coastline of the Son Tra Peninsula.

Our journey then takes us by road to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, crossing the Hai Van Pass, known as the “Ocean of Clouds,” and the picturesque Lang Co Beach.

Upon arrival in Hue, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the hotel for check-in procedures.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Thien Mu Pagoda (Heavenly Lady Pagoda), the symbol of Hue, built in 1601 between a river and a pine forest on the banks of the famous Perfume River. Before returning to the hotel, we’ll explore the lively Dong Ba Market, an important spot for the locals of Hue and a place to experience authentic Vietnamese life.

Exploring the Imperial City of Hue
After breakfast, begin your day with a tour of Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam for over 140 years. Delve into its rich historical past and discover the monumental treasures scattered within its walls. The tour includes a visit to the Imperial City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993, home to the legendary “Forbidden Purple City.” This urban area was protected by massive walls and a moat spanning 10 km, with 2-meter-thick walls. It was here that the Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945.

Next, we’ll visit the tomb of Emperor Minh Mang, also known as the “Temple of Supreme Grace.”

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to Hue’s most spectacular tomb, the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh. Explore the Stele Pavilion, the tomb hall, and the bronze statue of the emperor, all showcasing overwhelming and dazzling decorations.

In the evening, fly to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in.

Discovering Cu Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, embark on a journey to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an impressive underground network stretching over 200 kilometers. These tunnels served as the Viet Cong’s base of operations during the Vietnam War. After exploring this historic site, return to Ho Chi Minh City for lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue your exploration of Ho Chi Minh City, still referred to as Saigon by many locals. Begin with an exterior visit to the historic Reunification Palace, followed by the iconic Central Post Office with its stunning architecture. Take a stroll along Nguyen Hue walking street, where you’ll find municipal buildings, the Ho Chi Minh statue, and the city hall, wrapping up your tour of Ho Chi Minh City.

Later, relax with an authentic Vietnamese coffee, enjoy the sunset, or soak in the bustling cityscape, its vibrant businesses, and friendly people.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a free day to explore at your own pace. When it’s time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Phu Quoc Island. Upon arrival, meet our driver for a transfer to your hotel (guide not included).
